Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy Reveal The Secrets Of WWE’s Wyatt Sicks Faction

Ahead of their WWE World Tag Team Title defense at the Clash in Paris Premium Live Event this Sunday, The Wyatt Sicks members Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis sat down with WrestlingNews.co’s Emily Mae to discuss their upcoming match, their chemistry as a team, and their experience as part of the dominant faction. The event, taking place at the Accor Arena, features a card with multiple high-profile matches.

The champions are scheduled to defend their titles against former champions The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins). When asked about the matchup, Joe Gacy noted their familiarity with the challengers. “We know the Street Profits very well, so I think it’s going to be an interesting matchup,” Gacy said.

The setting of Paris, France, is a significant one for both competitors. For Gacy, it marks a career milestone. “This is my first time here… first time in the city, first time in France. So I’m just very excited to be here,” he shared. Dexter Lumis, meanwhile, praised the Paris crowd from a previous tour, calling them “one of the best crowds I’ve ever worked in front of.”

When asked about how their tag team pairing came together, Gacy pointed to a natural, underlying connection. “Personally, I think we’ve always gotten along, even when we kind of knew each other in NXT… We were both kind of weirdos,” he said. Lumis echoed the sentiment, stating, “I feel like I have great chemistry with every member of the group, especially Joe Gacy, and I think that the company saw that and they were like, ‘That’s a tag team right there that not many people are gonna be able to mess with’.” (Click below to watch the interview)

The title defense for The Wyatt Sicks is part of a loaded card for the Parisian crowd. In a major main event, Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match against CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. The show will also feature John Cena facing Logan Paul in a singles match.

Also on the card, Becky Lynch will defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Nikki Bella, Roman Reigns will take on Bronson Reed who will have Paul Heyman in his corner, and Sheamus will face Rusev in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match.

Throughout the interview, Dexter Lumis was quietly creating a piece of art on a notepad. At the end of the conversation, he revealed his work. “Oh, this is a quick little self-portrait of Dexter Lumis,” he began, before correcting himself. “Mercy the buzzard,” he stated, referencing the character from the Firefly Fun House. “With the time constraints, you know, I didn’t have time to get my acrylics and oil paints out and make a true masterpiece. But this will… this will work.”

WWE Clash in Paris will air live this Sunday, August 31, 2025. Fans in the United States can stream the event exclusively on Peacock starting at 1 PM ET. For international audiences, the event is available on Netflix.
