Jey Uso And LA Knight Confront Each Other On Raw, Agree To Tag Match Against The Vision

Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw from Paris, France, opened with the fallout from the World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash in Paris. Jey Uso, still feeling the effects of the previous night’s encounters, kicked off the show, but was soon interrupted by fellow challenger LA Knight, leading to a major tag team match being made for later in the evening.

Jey Uso made his entrance through the crowd with his ribs taped up, selling the effects of the post-match attack from The Vision at Clash in Paris. In the ring, he addressed his loss in the Fatal Four-Way match. “I was supposed to be standing here tonight with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, and instead, I have medical tape around it,” Jey said.

He then expressed some regret over his decision to get involved in Roman Reigns’s match earlier in the night. “I’m running it back and thinking that if I would have stayed out of Roman’s match, I probably would have been alright. What if I listened to his advice instead of trying to help him?” Jey continued, “If you know anything about me, my family comes first. Roman is laid up in the hospital and I can hear him telling me to smash them all, so Seth, Reed, and Breakker, bring your ass out here.”

Instead of the champions, it was LA Knight who answered the call. Knight entered the ring and immediately placed blame on Uso for their shared loss. “We lost that match last night,” Knight said directly to Jey. “We had a chance to put Seth through the table and you spoiled that. I’m tired of being left laying and I’m tired of not being World Heavyweight Champion.”

Knight also directed a pointed comment toward the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. “I can’t say you live in your cousin’s shadow,” Knight said to Jey, “but I can say Seth lives in his wife’s.”

As the tension between Uso and Knight escalated, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed appeared on the entrance stage. Breakker took the microphone and shifted the focus. “The only thing anybody should be concerned about right now is Paul Heyman’s health because he’s in the hospital thanks to Roman Reigns,” Breakker said. He then issued a warning to the two men in the ring. “Jey and LA Knight should be really concerned because there’s nobody to hold them back.”

Knight responded to the threat, stating, “We are a couple of dogs off the leash.” This prompted Breakker to issue a formal challenge for a tag team match to take place later in the night. Despite their own issues, Jey Uso and LA Knight looked at each other and agreed to the match, setting the stage for a major tag team encounter.
