WWE NXT’s Return To Full Sail University Is A Sellout

The upcoming “One Night Only” return of WWE NXT to its original home, Full Sail University, has officially sold out. PWInsider.com reported the news today. The event, which will be broadcast live from the Full Sail Live arena in Winter Park, Florida, on Tuesday, September 16, has proven to be a hot ticket for the NXT faithful. Tickets for the special broadcast, which ranged in price from $52.75 to $78.50, were quickly snapped up by fans.

Before the live broadcast, Full Sail students will have the opportunity to participate in a day of guest lectures and presentations from NXT superstars and members of WWE’s production team. During the show itself, students and alumni who have worked on the production of NXT events over the years will be recognized, and a special scholarship announcement will be made.

The brand began using the university as its primary taping location in May 2012, and the intimate atmosphere of Full Sail Live became a signature element of the “black and gold” era of NXT. The partnership also saw a season of the reality competition series “Tough Enough” filmed at the university, and countless Full Sail students gained real-world experience working on the production of a live, weekly television show.

WWE last held an event at Full Sail in the fall of 2020. The company moved its NXT production to the WWE Performance Center during the COVID-19 pandemic and has remained there ever since. The return to Full Sail, even for one night only, is a special homecoming for the brand. The venue has also been utilized by other promotions in recent years, with TNA Wrestling holding tapings there earlier this year.

The show will be broadcast live on The CW Network in the United States and on Netflix internationally. The full card for the September 16th episode is expected to be announced on next week’s episode of NXT.
