Nick Hogan Sues Bubba The Love Sponge To Block Release Of Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Documentary

According to a report from TMZ, Nick Hogan, acting as a representative for the estate of his father, Hulk Hogan, has filed a federal lawsuit against radio host Bubba The Love Sponge (real name Todd Alan Clem). The lawsuit, filed in a Florida federal court on Tuesday, seeks to block the release of Bubba’s upcoming documentary about the infamous Hulk Hogan sex tape scandal.

The documentary in question is titled “Video Killed The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal,” which Bubba intends to release later this month. The project promises to tell the real story of how footage of Hulk Hogan’s encounter with Bubba’s then-wife, Heather Clem, was leaked to the media over a decade ago.

According to the lawsuit as reported by TMZ, the documentary infringes on Hulk Hogan’s copyrights and trademarks. Nick Hogan alleges that Bubba has been promoting the film using Hulk’s trademarks without receiving the necessary permission.

The suit further claims that the documentary includes unauthorized images taken directly from the sex tape. It is alleged that some of this footage was used in a trailer that Bubba recently released to promote the project.

Additionally, the lawsuit states that the release of the documentary would be a violation of a settlement agreement that Bubba and Hulk Hogan entered into regarding the tape back in 2012. The specific details of that agreement have been redacted in the new court filing.

Nick Hogan is suing to get an injunction to stop the documentary’s release and is also seeking other unspecified damages. The original sex tape scandal led to a high-profile lawsuit filed by Hulk Hogan against the media outlet Gawker, which had published excerpts of the tape. Hogan won a judgment in that case in 2016. TMZ noted that they reached out to Bubba for comment but have so far not heard back.
