The Godfather: Vince McMahon Wore “Dr. Evil” Suit, Introduced Girlfriend At 80th Birthday Party

WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather (Charles Wright) recently shared several inside stories from his time attending Vince McMahon’s private 80th birthday party in New York City. Speaking on his “Poddin’ Ain’t Easy” podcast, he described the lavish two-day event, the high-profile guests, his personal interactions with McMahon, and a humorous encounter with his close friend, The Undertaker.

The Godfather confirmed he and his wife were invited guests for the celebration, which took place at the five-star Baccarat Hotel in New York City. He noted that McMahon paid for everything for his guests, including the hotel rooms and a wide range of activities around the city, such as tickets to a New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox game. “Vince bought everything, paid for the hotel, just for us people,” he said. The guest list included The Undertaker, Kane, JBL, John Cena, and Teddy Long, with Jelly Roll providing the musical entertainment.

One of the standout stories from the weekend involved an unexpected reunion with The Undertaker at the hotel spa. The Godfather explained he decided to try his first-ever facial. “I get there, and I get in my own little room and get my little robe on and my little fufu slippers,” he said. “I open the door… the room across me, door opens up. Who is it? The Undertaker.” The two legends looked at each other in disbelief before having a laugh. “I go, ‘facial.’ He goes, ‘Yeah’… Who would ever thought, bro?” The Godfather recalled Undertaker saying.

The Godfather also shared details of his private conversation with Vince McMahon at the event’s cocktail party. He said he arrived at the same time as McMahon, who greeted him warmly. “He goes, ‘Charles, how you doing?'” The Godfather recalled. “He goes, ‘Charles, I just want you to know there’s nobody here that’s not my true friend’.”

He also commented on McMahon’s appearance and attire. He noted that McMahon “looked a lot better” and was “walking a lot better” than in recent photos that had circulated online. However, he joked about McMahon’s outfit for the evening. “He had on like a Dr. Evil suit on, bro… I thought, Dr. Evil,” The Godfather said, adding that his BSK brother, The Undertaker, later made the same observation. During their conversation, McMahon also introduced The Godfather to his companion for the evening. “He introduced me to his girlfriend, or whatever she was,” he stated.
