AEW star Will Ospreay has a surprisingly humble dream job in mind for when he eventually hangs up his boots: he wants to be a postman for the Royal Mail. The news was revealed by his wife, fellow professional wrestler Alex Windsor, during a new interview with RJ City on the “Hey! (EW)” digital series.
When the conversation turned to Ospreay’s future, Windsor shared his unique retirement plan. “Speaking of postman, that’s his dream. When he leaves wrestling, he wants to be a postman,” she said. “No, but that’s his retirement plan. He wants to be a postman. But it’s one of them things where he could be like, oh, I used to be a wrestler. Now I’m just a postie. But not any postie, the Royal Mail.”
While Ospreay may have his post-wrestling plans ready to go, his in-ring career is still very much in its prime. However, he is currently on an extended hiatus from AEW to recover from a serious neck injury. He has revealed that he has a couple of herniated discs in his neck that will require surgery.
His last match was in the main event of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in August, where he led his team to victory in a ten-man Lights Out Steel Cage match. There is currently no timetable for his return to the ring. The full interview with Alex Windsor can be seen on the “Hey! (EW)” YouTube channel.
