Former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall Announces Return To Pro Wrestling

Before she became a well-known face to WWE fans during the “Diva” era, Kristal Marshall had a unique career path that included stints on two popular television game shows. Speaking on “The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val,” an exclusive to WrestlingNews.co on YouTube, Marshall detailed her journey, which included getting fired from one job for being “too short,” a brief crossover with a future royal, and her exciting upcoming return to the wrestling business.

Marshall explained that her start in entertainment came as a model on the classic game show “The Price Is Right.” “Once upon a time, many years ago, I think I was about 20 years old, I was very much a risk taker, and so I was on a show called The Price Is Right,” she said. However, her time on the show was short-lived for a surprising reason. “I actually got fired from that show because I was too short, believe it or not… too small for the set. So they canned me.”

Her next stop was another hit game show, “Deal or No Deal,” where she worked on the pilot episode. This led to her crossing paths with another future celebrity. “I ended up getting picked up on Deal or No Deal… I worked with Meghan Markle,” Marshall confirmed. When asked for more details, she clarified their interaction was minimal.

“I met her once, but I wouldn’t say I worked alongside her, because it was still, everybody kind of did their own thing,” she explained. “And then, honestly, I was around for the pilot, and right after the pilot, then I transitioned into WWE, so it was like ships in the night kind of situation.” She then joked about what could have been, saying, “What if I would have played my cards a little differently? Do you think that maybe it would have been me and Harry? You know, you never know.”

Following her time on the game show circuit, Marshall entered the 2005 WWE Diva Search competition. While she did not win, she was signed to a contract and began her career with the company, becoming a prominent figure on the SmackDown brand during a time she looks back on fondly. “I feel like the Divas and the Knockouts and the women of wrestling, we were of that era,” she said of the “full glam, the pageantry, all of that.”

Life for Marshall has changed significantly since her last run in wrestling. She now focuses on her family and personal connections. “I’m really into cooking right now,” she said when asked about her hobbies. “My kids are athletes, so just catching up on their… watching them in sports and things like that, that’s a big pastime.” She also mentioned the importance of “connecting with my friends and family” and planning trips.

Now, Marshall is set to make her return to the professional wrestling world. She announced that she will be a part of the new All Caribbean Wrestling promotion, an opportunity she is particularly excited about due to her family heritage.

“I am so excited about all of it. My family is from Barbados. I’m first-generation American. I am a dual citizen,” she explained. “So the show that I’m going to be a part of is in Barbados. So it’s like a huge homecoming of a sort… It’s a beautiful place, and it’s an opportunity for wrestling to expand in the heart of the Caribbean. So it’s an honor, and I’m super excited for you guys to see it and to support it and watch it grow.”

Fans looking to keep up with Marshall’s journey back to wrestling and her involvement with All Caribbean Wrestling can follow her on her social media accounts. “You guys can follow me on Instagram. It’s @BajanBombshell83 and it’s the same for TikTok,” she said. Check out the full interview on our YouTube at this link.
