Jerry “The King” Lawler Recovering After Suffering A Stroke

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is on the road to recovery after suffering a stroke last Friday in Florida. This is the latest in a series of health scares for the 75-year-old, but the good news is that he is already recovering at home.

In a statement to TMZ Sports, Lawler’s daughter confirmed that he experienced the medical issue last Friday at one of his homes in Florida. She stated that she is taking him back to his primary residence, where he will rest for a few more weeks before he can get back to his normal routine. The quick and positive prognosis is a welcome sign for his family, friends, and fans who were concerned about his condition.

The health scare forced Lawler to pull out of a scheduled appearance at the HorrorHound Weekend convention in Cincinnati, which was set to begin on Friday. The organizers of the event announced on Monday that he would not be attending “due to some personal matters,” which we now know was this medical emergency.

This is unfortunately not the first serious health issue for the legendary “King.” This is his third stroke in recent years, with the first occurring in 2018 and the second, which was described as “massive,” in 2023. He also suffered a heart attack live on the air during an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2012, an incident from which he recovered.

Lawler was last seen on WWE programming in February of this year, when he was shown in the crowd during an episode of SmackDown from his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. He was all smiles on that night, and the wrestling world is hoping to see him back in that same high-spirited condition soon.

We wish him a speedy recovery. The full report on his health can be found on TMZ Sports.
