AEW’s Nigel McGuinness And Partner Announce They Are Expecting A Child

Congratulations are in order for AEW announcer and part-time in-ring competitor, Nigel McGuinness, and his partner, Kaori. In a post on social media, the couple has announced that they are expecting a child together. McGuiness has had a resurgent year in 2025, returning to the ring after a decade-long retirement.

The announcement was made via a post on Kaori’s official Instagram account. The post has been met with a wave of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow wrestlers from across the wrestling world, all wishing the happy couple the very best as they prepare to welcome their new addition to the family.

McGuinness has become one of the signature voices of All Elite Wrestling in his role as the color commentator for the Saturday night show, AEW Collision. In addition to his work at the announce desk, McGuinness has also made a return to the ring in 2024.

After being retired for over a decade due to medical issues, the former Ring of Honor World Champion has competed in three matches this year. His most recent bout was at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view in August, where he challenged Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The full announcement can be seen on his partner Kaori’s official Instagram account.
