WWE NXT General Manager Ava has announced a significant change to the card for the upcoming NXT Homecoming event. In a post on X, Ava revealed that Tiffany Stratton is not medically cleared to compete following her recent WWE Women’s Championship match on SmackDown. As a result, she has been pulled from her scheduled six-woman tag team match.
Taking her place will be former NXT Women’s Champion, Lyra Valkyria. The announcement was made official by Ava on Monday afternoon.
“After her WWE Women’s Championship Match on SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton is not medically cleared to compete at Homecoming,” Ava wrote in her post. “As a result, former NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria will be taking her place in the six-woman tag team match against Fatal Influence.”
Stratton’s most recent match was a title bout against Jade Cargill on last Friday’s episode of SmackDown. The nature and severity of the injury sustained during that match have not been disclosed.
The change to the card will now see Lyra Valkyria teaming with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer to take on “Fatal Influence,” which is comprised of NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx.
NXT Homecoming will feature a tag team match pitting TNA World Champion Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes against the reunited “DIY” team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. Also, Ethan Page will defend his NXT North American Championship against Tyler Breeze, and NXT Champion Oba Femi and his challenger, Ricky Saints, will be guests on “The Grayson Waller Effect” talk show. This will be WWE’s first time back at Full Sail University since they moved shows to the Performance Center.
