Three more names have been added to the star-studded lineup for the “NXT Homecoming” television special. In posts on their social media on Tuesday, WWE announced that Bianca Belair, former NXT Champion Bobby Roode, and the new United States Champion Sami Zayn, who is also a former NXT Champion, will all be a part of the special event.
The news was announced on Tuesday via the official WWE NXT social media platforms. The posts confirmed that both “The EST” Bianca Belair and the “Glorious” Bobby Roode will be at the show. “GLORIOUS! Bobby Roode will be at #NXTHomecoming TONIGHT at Full Sail!” one post read, while another announced, “THE EST @BiancaBelairWWE returns to #WWENXT TONIGHT for #NXTHomecoming!”
The show, which is a “One Night Only” return to the venue that was the original home of the black-and-gold era of NXT, is set to feature a number of other former NXT stars. The previously announced lineup already included Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Tyler Breeze, and Rhea Ripley.
This will be Bianca Belair’s first appearance on WWE programming in a non-referee capacity since she suffered a broken finger at WrestleMania 41. While she has stated that she is still recovering, her presence on the show is a welcome one for her fans. Bobby Roode, who now works as a WWE producer, will be making a rare on-screen appearance. He has not wrestled in over three years due to neck fusion surgeries, but he has stated in recent interviews that he is medically cleared to return to the ring.
The card for tonight’s “NXT Homecoming” special is a loaded one. It includes a six-woman tag team match pitting Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, and Stephanie Vaquer against Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx. The show will also see Ethan Page defend the NXT North American Championship against the returning Tyler Breeze, and the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, will defend their titles against Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley.
The show will air live tonight from Full Sail University at 8 p.m. ET on The CW Network.
