According to AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, former TNA Wrestling president Scott D’Amore is backstage at tonight’s AEW Dynamite “September to Remember” event in London, Ontario. Moné noted D’Amore’s presence during an Instagram Live session before the show. While it is most likely that D’Amore is just visiting, his appearance is noteworthy. D’Amore, who is widely credited with the creative resurgence of TNA over the past several years, departed that company last year.
How to Watch “September to Remember”
Tonight’s show is a special, three-hour episode of AEW Dynamite that will serve as the final stop before this Saturday’s All Out pay-per-view in Toronto. The event will air live from the Canada Life Place in London, Ontario, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on TBS. It will also be available to stream live on HBO Max.
Main Event Storylines and Segments
The show will feature the final build to several of the top matches at All Out. AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and his challenger, TBS Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, will have a contract signing for their World Championship match. The final spot in the AEW Unified Championship 3-Way match at the pay-per-view will also be decided tonight, as The Beast Mortos takes on Máscara Dorada in an Eliminator Tournament match. The winner will join champion Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita in the title bout.
AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm will also have a “Spotlight” segment just days before she defends her title in a four-way match. Additionally, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are scheduled to come face-to-face with their All Out opponents, FTR.
Stacked In-Ring Action
The card for tonight’s show is loaded. In a notable singles encounter, Jon Moxley will go one-on-one with Roderick Strong. Bobby Lashley will also face Toa Liona in a battle of heavyweights. In the women’s division, Riho will take on Robyn Renegade as she prepares for her TBS Championship match against Mercedes Moné, and Thekla will face Queen Aminata in a No Holds Barred match.
Tag Team Title Qualifiers
A major focus of the show will be the three qualifying matches to determine the final entrants in the AEW World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match at All Out. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) will face The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn). The Don Callis Family’s Hechicero and Josh Alexander will take on Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin). Finally, the team of Kip Sabian & Killswitch will face JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey).
