Raja Jackson Taken Into Custody For Attack On Wrestler Syko Stu

Raja Jackson, 25, the son of mixed martial arts fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested Thursday on a felony charge in connection with a late August incident at a wrestling event. As first reported by TMZ Sports, Jackson is being held on a $50,000 bond. The arrest follows an altercation at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles where Jackson attacked wrestler Syko Stu, whose real name is Stuart Smith.

The incident, which was captured on a livestream, began prior to any in-ring action. Smith, apparently in character as “Syko Stu,” confronted Jackson and smashed a beverage can on his head. It was later explained that Smith was unaware that Jackson was not a part of the scheduled performance. Smith then apologized to Jackson.

Later in the evening, what was described by the promotion as a “planned and agreed upon wrestling spot” was set to take place. Jackson entered the ring, slammed Smith to the mat, and then delivered numerous punches to Smith while he appeared to be unconscious. The attack continued for approximately 10 to 11 seconds before other wrestlers intervened and pulled Jackson off of Smith.

Smith was hospitalized for several days with multiple injuries, including a fractured maxilla bone and the loss of several teeth. He has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. The entire sequence of events, from the initial confrontation with the can to the in-ring attack, was broadcast on Jackson’s livestream.

Knokx Pro Wrestling released a statement condemning the incident, calling it a “selfish, irresponsible act of violence.” They stated, “In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologize to our patrons and fans.”

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson also commented on his son’s actions, stating that Raja had suffered a concussion a few days prior and “had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact.” He added that his son should face consequences, including potential jail time, community service, and anger management. “As a father, I’m deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith,” the elder Jackson stated. “I apologize on his behalf.”
