Brock Lesnar Segment, Two Title Matches Set For WWE SmackDown

WWE has announced a loaded lineup for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the final broadcast before this weekend’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza premium live event. The show will feature two championship matches, an interview with Brock Lesnar, and an appearance by the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

Lesnar is scheduled to speak just one night before he steps into the ring with John Cena in a match at Wrestlepalooza. This will be his final opportunity to address his opponent before their clash. Two major championships will be on the line tonight. For the third consecutive week, Sami Zayn will issue an open challenge for his WWE United States Championship. This week, former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes has already declared his intention to answer the call and will challenge Zayn for the title.

Additionally, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be defended as Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair take on the team of Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. This match comes weeks after Green and her faction, “The Secret Hervice,” launched a sneak attack on the champions, injuring Flair in the process. While Bliss was able to defeat Green in a singles match, Flair is now back and seeking retribution alongside her partner.

Tonight’s broadcast from Toledo, Ohio, serves as the official “go-home” show for the SmackDown brand ahead of Wrestlepalooza, marking the last chance to build hype for the PLE. Find out how to watch WrestlePalooza here.
