AEW Tailgate Brawl Pre-Show:

The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) vs. The WorkHorsemen (JD Drake & Anthony Henry)

Drake avoided the Muscle Buster by Joe but missed a dropkick off the top turnbuckle. Joe then applied the Kokina Clutch on Drake for the submission victory.

Winners: The Opps

Daniel Garcia (Marina Shafir) vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Daddy Magic was doing commentary for this match. He took his headset off and tried to confront Garcia who refused to turn around to look at him or acknowledge he was even there. Garcia caught Shibata in a choke and followed it with a pile driver for a two-count. Garcia gave him another piledriver and this time Shibata kicked out at the count of one. Shibata caught Garcia in a sleeper. Garcia tapped out but the referee didn’t see it because Shafir got on the ring apron to distract the referee. Shibata released the hold and went to confront Shafir allowing Garcia to attack him and give him another piledriver. Garcia then applied a surfboard and stomped his head into the canvas to pin him.

Winner: Daniel Garcia

Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and Hologram vs The Frat House (Preston Vance, Griff Garrison, and Cole Carter) (w/Jacked Jameson)

O’Reilly, Strong, and Hologram kicked and kneed Vance, sending him out of the ring. Hologram came off the top rope with a double stomp on Garrison and pinned him to win the match. After the match, Strong didn’t look happy with Hologram while O’Reilly was happy with the victory.

Winners: Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick, and Hologram

Tornado Tailgate Brawl: Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale vs. Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, and Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

Willow gave Bayne the Pounce, sending her out of the ring. While everybody else was brawling outside the ring, Willow slammed Ford in the head with a garbage can. She then gave her a Doctor Bomb and pinned her.

Winners: Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale

AEW All Out:

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) (w/Stokely)

Adam avoided the Shatter Machine. Christian nailed Cash with a spear while Adam hit Dax with the Unprettier. Adam went for the cover on Dax but Stokely pulled the referee out of the ring before he could make the count. Beth Copeland (formerly Beth Phoenix) came down the aisle and knocked Stokely to the ground with a punch. Christian and Edge hit Dax with a cutter for a two-count. Beth picked up Stokely and took him to the back.

Christian went to the top rope setting up a double team maneuver with Adam but Cash picked up Christian and powerbombed him on the announce desk. Adam turned around and Dax hit him with the ring bell. Dax and Cash hit Adam with a spike piledriver for a near fall. Edge went for a spear but was hit with a Shatter Machine for a near fall. They hit him with another one but Adam recovered and hit Cash with a spear and pinned him.

Winners: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

After the match, Beth came back to celebrate with Adam and Christian. Nick & Shayna Wayne appeared at the ring entrance. When they turned their attention to the Waynes, FTR jumped Adam and Christian which sent them into Beth. Kip Sabian handcuffed Adam to the ropes and jumped Christian from behind. FTR then gave Christian a spike piledriver. Beth started punching FTR. With Adam still handcuffed to the ropes, FTR gave Beth a spike piledriver.

Eddie Kingston vs Big Bill (w/Bryan Keith)

Kingston hit Bill with the backfist but only got a one-count. Bill charged at Kingston and got hit with a boot to the face. Kingston charged at Bill and Bill caught him with a boot to his face. Bill went for a splash into the corner, Kingston moved, and Bill hit his head on the ring post. Kingston then hit Bill with the backfist and pinned him.

Winner: Eddie Kingston

After the match, Keith jumped Kingston. Hook walked to the ring. Bill made a running charge at Hook. Hook moved out of the way and Bill went over the top rope. Hook caught Keith in the choke and Kingston hit him with the backfist. Kingston and Hook hugged each other to end the segment.

Tables N’ Thumbtacks: MJF vs Mark Briscoe 

MJF set up a table in the middle of the ring and emptied two bags of thumbtacks on it. Briscoe blocked a powerbomb attempt through the table. Briscoe went to the top turnbuckle. MJF followed him up there where they began punching and biting each other. MJF got off the turnbuckle and Briscoe hit him with a Froggy Bow sending MJF through the table. He then climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit MJF with another one. Briscoe then finished by hitting MJF with the Jay Driller and pinning him.

Winner: Mark Briscoe 

Last Wednesday after AEW Dynamite:

Jerry Lynn told Max Caster and Anthony Bowens they are better when they work together. He told them he got them a tag team match together but neither one wanted it. Lynn said if they don’t want to show up for work, they will get suspended without pay.

Ricochet & GOA (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) vs. The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, & MVP)

With everybody fighting outside the ring, Ricochet and Kaun threw Liona into Lashley and Benjamin with a clothesline, sending all three over the barricade. Ricochet jumped back in the ring to try to hit MVP but MVP caught him with an overhead suplex. MVP then hit Kaun with a suplex and kicked Ricochet in the face. Kaun chop-blocked MVP and Ricochet hit him with the Spirit Gun to pin him.

Winners: Ricochet and GOA

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Riho

Riho hit a German Suplex on Mercedes for a near fall. She followed it up with a splash on the top turnbuckle for a two-count. Riho continued to be in control by hitting a Northern Lights Suplex for another near fall. When she went for another move, Mercedes held onto the referee’s pants which spun him around. With the referee facing the other direction, Mercedes raked Riho’s eyes. This enabled Mercedes to hit a Lung Blower and the Mone Maker on Riho and pin her to retain her championship.

Winner and still AEW TBS Champion: Mercedes Mone

AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Mascara Dorada

Dorada gave Okada a DDT on the ring apron. He was getting ready to jump off the top rope onto Takeshita but Takeshita caught him with a punch. Takeshita got on the top rope with Dorada and gave him a superplex and a Raging Fire. He went for the pin but Okada broke it up. Takeshita charged at Okada but was met with a dropkick. Okada then hit Dorada with the Rainmaker and pinned him to retain his championship. After the match, Takeshita had a staredown with Okada and left with a frustrated look on his face.

Winner and still AEW Unified Champion: Kazuchika Okada

Coffin Match: Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley (w/Marina Shafir)

Bryan Danielson was on commentary. Danielson promised Darby on Dynamite that he wouldn’t interfere in this match. Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia made their way to ringside but Moxley sent them and Shafir to the back and said he’s got this.

Darby hit Moxley in the head with the fork as well as poked it against his ear. He took a metal pipe to Moxley. While Darby was outside the ring, Danielson handed him an AEW duffel bag. Darby opened it up and there was a plastic bag in it. Darby put the bag over Moxley’s head. Moxley managed to rip the bag open so he could breathe but Moxley was basically out cold. Darby rolled Moxley into the coffin.

Before Darby could close the lid on the coffin, PAC returned and kicked Darby in the face. PAC launched Darby outside the ring onto another coffin laying on the mat. PAC threw Darby back in the ring. He then put Darby in a body bag, put him in the coffin, and Moxley kicked the lid closed to win the match.

Winner: Jon Moxley 

A commercial ran for AEW WrestleDream on Saturday, October 18 from St. Louis, MO

Backstage:

Mark Briscoe was backstage with the Conglomeration. He said it feels good to have beaten MJF. He challenged Don Callis to pick three of his men to take on himself, Hologram, and another member of the Conglomeration this Saturday. Kyle O’Reilly got off the phone. Briscoe asked him if the person he was talking to was ready. O’Reilly said the person said, “Whatever”, which indicated it would be Orange Cassidy.

AEW Women’s Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Thekla vs. Kris Statlander

Wheeler Yuta came out at the beginning of the match to motivate Statlander, which she ignored. Yuta then returned to the back.

Thekla had her legs wrapped around Storm for a possible submission hold but Storm made it to the ropes. Thekla gave Hayter a spear on the ring apron to the floor. Statlander caught Storm from behind and caught her in the seat belt to win the title. Harley Cameron came down to congratulate her on her victory.

Winner and new AEW Women’s World Champion: Kris Statlander

AEW Tag Team Championships – Ladder Match: Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) (c) vs. Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) vs. JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) vs. Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander & Hechicero)

As Knight was climbing the ladder, all of his opponents picked up the ladder with him on it, moved it to the side of the ring, and dumped him off onto a table outside the ring. Alexander and Hechicero gave low blows to Brodido. The Young Bucks pulled Alexander off the ladder as he was climbing up trying to grab the belts and gave him the EVP Trigger. The Bucks climbed the ladder but King pushed the ladder over, knocking both Bucks to the canvas and outside the ring. Bandido hit Alexander and Hechicero with a moonsault with a ladder off the top turnbuckle to the floor. King dove through the ropes onto the Bucks. Bandido then climbed the ladder and grabbed both belts to retain the titles.

Winner and still AEW World Tag Team Champions: Brodido

After the match, with the Young Bucks still in the ring, Jack Perry showed up and attacked them. Rocky Romero came in to stop Perry but got hit with a DDT. Perry turned around and got hit by a double superkick from the Bucks. As they were getting ready to give him the EVP Trigger, Perry smiled at them. The lights went out. A video of Killswitch played, who then appeared in the ring and gave a double chokeslam to the Bucks. Killswitch took off his belt that had the Killswitch name on it and hugged Perry. The old Luchasaurus music, “Tarzan Boy” played and it looks like he is back to being Luchasaurus.

Backstage:

Jon Moxley was standing over the coffin. He said that Darby gave everything he had every night, but he was misguided. Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, PAC, and Marina Shafir got in their vehicle. Moxley stayed behind and told the cameraman that the show is over. Darby popped out of the coffin and hit Moxley with a pipe. He put Moxley in the body bag. Darby was about to hit Moxley in the head again, but then decided to put lighter fluid on him instead. He then lit him on fire but the officials were there right away with the fire extinguisher to put it out.

AEW World Championship: ‘Hangman’ Adam Page (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher

The story of the match was that Page had nothing left in the last 10 minutes of the match. Fletcher avoided the Buckshot Lariat and hit a Brainbuster on Page for a near fall. Fletcher toyed with him for several minutes before exposing the turnbuckle. He laid Page’s face against the exposed turnbuckle and gave him a running kick to the back of his head. Page blocked a suplex and gave Fletcher a Dead Eye from the top turnbuckle. He followed it up with the Buckshot lariat and pinned him to retain the championship.
