Tiffany Stratton Addresses Injury Status Amid Fan Concern

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has provided an update on her physical condition, stating that she is “okay” following a rough landing on a moonsault during her recent title defense against Jade Cargill on SmackDown. In an interview with Going Ringside, Stratton addressed the speculation about her health that arose after she was pulled from a scheduled appearance at the NXT Homecoming special.

During the bout, Stratton landed awkwardly while performing her signature “Prettiest Moonsault Ever,” leading to immediate concern. The situation escalated when NXT General Manager Ava announced that Stratton was not medically cleared to compete at the NXT Homecoming event, pulling her from a scheduled six-woman tag team match. This announcement, combined with a PWInsider report that event merchandise for Wrestlepalooza listed a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship between Stratton, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill, led to widespread speculation.

Reports then surfaced from WrestleVotes that the match was entirely dependent on Stratton being medically cleared, casting her status for the PLE in doubt. It was later reported that the reason for the match being booked on this week’s SmackDown and not Wrestlepalooza was due to storyline.

In her interview, Stratton put those concerns to rest. “Physically, I’m okay. Obviously, on that moonsault, it was a little bit of a rough landing. However, I was fine. I think it was just more precautionary and kind of just monitoring and seeing if anything was bad about the fall,” she explained. “But for the most part, I’m doing good. I’m great.”

The on-screen storyline has been building towards a confrontation between the three women. On last week’s SmackDown, Nia Jax declared herself the “Alpha female” of WWE, taking credit for Stratton’s brief “time out” and dismissing Jade Cargill. Stratton and Cargill both interrupted, leading to a standoff that was broken up by security and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Aldis then announced that the three women will face each other in a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship. That match is now set to take place on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
