Jazmyn Nyx has officially confirmed her departure from WWE, stating that her decision not to re-sign with the company was a personal one based on financial reasons. In a video posted to her TikTok account, the former NXT Superstar addressed the speculation surrounding her status after she was written off television on this week’s episode of NXT.
Her statement comes after a report from PWInsider confirmed that her contract with WWE was set to expire and she would be leaving the promotion. In her video, Nyx was honest about the contract offered to her and her decision to pursue other opportunities.
“As you know, there have been things circulating and I want to just set the record straight. I’m not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and my future,” Nyx said. “Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years wasn’t going to cut it for me financially, and that’s okay.”
Nyx also opened up about her journey to WWE, which began after a professional soccer career in Iceland. She revealed that four knee surgeries hampered her early progress in the WWE developmental system. She also mentioned that she was off television for a brief period with a concussion, though she did not specify when that occurred. Nyx noted that she had to turn down other opportunities during her time with WWE and is now able to focus on those ventures. She ended by thanking her fans for their support.
Nyx’s on-screen exit was a dramatic one, playing out in a storyline that saw her kicked out of the Fatal Influence faction. On Tuesday’s episode of NXT, she was attacked backstage. Her stablemates, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley, discovered her on the floor, but rather than show concern, they stated that it was “time we dropped her anyway” and walked away, officially ending her time with the group and writing her off the show.
Jazmyn Nyx, real name Jade Arianna Gentile, signed with WWE in 2022. She made her television debut in early 2024 as a member of the popular Chase University faction before turning on the group to align herself with Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley in Fatal Influence. As an enforcer for Jayne, Nyx was a constant presence at ringside during Jayne’s rise to the top of the NXT women’s division. With her WWE tenure now at an end, the 27-year-old enters the next phase of her career.
