Adam Copeland Says He Doesn’t Know If He Will Return To AEW

On the September 24, 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite, the show revisited events from the All Out pay-per-view, where Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR. A video segment aired showing a backstage conversation between Copeland and Cage following their victory. Copeland expressed concern that this is affecting his family. He told Christian he needed to leave and was unsure if he could return. Christian responded by saying that he himself no longer had a family and urged Copeland to take care of his. Copeland said he does have a family and he segment ended with a handshake

After the footage aired, FTR—Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood—alongside Stokely Hathaway, entered the ring live to address the situation. Wheeler stated that FTR’s original goal was to defeat Copeland and Cage and pursue the AEW Tag Team Championships. He claimed Copeland’s personal involvement, including bringing his wife Beth Phoenix into the conflict, disrupted their plans. Wheeler emphasized that their focus remained on championship contention.

Stokely Hathaway addressed his own involvement at All Out, specifically the moment when Beth Phoenix speared him. He clarified that he had approached the ramp to introduce himself, not to attack Beth, and said he forgave her for the incident. Dax Harwood then spoke about being advised to apologize for his actions during the event. He refused to do so, explaining that he never intended to harm Beth. He recounted being punched in his injured nose by Beth, which impaired his vision and led to him mistakenly dropping her on her head, thinking she was Adam.

The segment escalated when Willow Nightingale entered the ring. She stated that Beth Phoenix had inspired her to pursue wrestling and demanded a sincere apology from FTR or for them to leave the ring. Stokely responded dismissively, telling Willow it was past her bedtime. Willow retaliated by slapping him. Members of JetSpeed, including Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight, then intervened. Bailey delivered a superkick to Dax Harwood, while Knight hit Cash Wheeler with a dropkick. FTR pulled Stokely out of the ring, ending the confrontation.
