Brock Lesnar made a destructive return to WWE at Wrestlepalooza, but fans shouldn’t expect to see “The Beast Incarnate” on weekly television anytime soon. According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE is planning to keep Lesnar off of Raw and SmackDown for the foreseeable future.
“Those we spoke to said that he’s off television for a while,” the report states. This move is consistent with Lesnar’s typical part-time schedule, where he is utilized as a special attraction for major events rather than a regular on weekly programming. Despite his upcoming absence from TV, the company is already making significant long-term plans for him heading into 2026.
The report confirms that Lesnar is internally listed and tentatively scheduled for the first two major premium live events of 2026: the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. The WWE creative team is reportedly working under the assumption that Lesnar will be a key part of both shows unless they are notified otherwise. His inclusion in these long-term plans comes after he was featured on the official poster for WrestleMania 42, signaling that WWE is moving forward full steam ahead with Lesnar as a top attraction, despite any previous hesitancy from partners like ESPN in the wake of the Janel Grant lawsuit. A report from Bodyslam.net noted that Bron Breakker is being discussed internally as a potential future opponent for “The Beast.” While nothing is confirmed, a “passing of the torch” match between Lesnar and Breakker in Las Vegas would be a big match for WrestleMania 42.
Lesnar’s successful return at Wrestlepalooza saw him decisively defeat John Cena in the opening match of the night. The bout also featured a brief reunion with his long-time advocate, Paul Heyman, who did Lesnar’s ring introduction. Heyman currently manages The Vision, a faction that includes Bron Breakker, adding another layer of potential intrigue to a future Lesnar vs. Breakker feud.
