Wyatt Sicks And Dominik Mysterio Set For AAA Title Matches

Three championship matches have been announced for AAA’s Héroes Inmortales event on October 25, with all three bouts featuring stars from WWE . The card, which was set up during AAA’s most recent television event in Mexico City, will see the AAA Mega Championship, the AAA World Tag Team Championship, and the Reina de Reinas Championship all defended.

The event is one of AAA’s biggest shows of the year, held annually to honor the memory of the company’s founder, Antonio Peña. In the main event, the reigning AAA Mega Champion, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, will defend his title against fellow WWE superstar Dragon Lee. Lee earned the number one contendership at the recent television taping by defeating El Grande Americano and El Hijo del Vikingo in a three-way match.

After the bout, Mysterio, who was providing guest commentary, confronted Lee in the ring, and the two had a staredown to officially kick off the build to their championship match. Mysterio captured the Mega Championship in a shocking victory at the Worlds Collide event in September, making him a dual champion as he also holds the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

The AAA World Tag Team Championships will also be on the line as the reigning champions, Pagano & Psycho Clown, are set to defend their titles against The Wyatt Sicks. The match was made after the champions, who are currently nursing injuries, cut a defiant promo stating their desire to face the group that had attacked them at the Worlds Collide event earlier this month.

A video then played on the screen, revealing that The Wyatt Sicks had accepted the challenge for the October 25 event. This will mark the first time the faction has challenged for championship gold outside of WWE.

In the women’s division, the Reina de Reinas Championship will be defended in a triple threat match, as champion Flammer will take on Faby Apache and WWE’s Natalya. Faby Apache earned her spot in the match by defeating Flammer in a non-title bout at the recent television taping, setting up a rematch of their match from the Triplemania event.
