Stephanie Vaquer’s first reign as WWE Women’s World Champion is off to a memorable start, and she now has the ink to prove it. Following her first appearance as the new champion on the October 1, 2025, edition of Monday Night Raw, Vaquer took to her Instagram Stories to reveal a new tattoo on the back of her neck, a permanent reminder of her historic victory.
Vaquer won the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship at the inaugural Wrestlepalooza premium live event on September 20, defeating Iyo Sky in a match that critics and fans widely praised. The title had been vacated by the previous champion, Naomi, in August due to her pregnancy. Vaquer secured the victory after a competitive contest, countering Sky’s signature “Over the Moonsault” and hitting a spiral moonsault of her own for the pinfall. The win was a career-defining moment for the Chilean-born luchadora, who was already a decorated champion in Mexico and Japan before signing with WWE.
In a recent interview on WWE’s Spanish-language YouTube channel, Vaquer revealed that her championship moment was almost taken away from her. She had been battling an illness for two weeks leading up to the event and was advised by WWE’s medical team not to travel to the Raw taping the week of the show. She was told that if she missed Raw, she would also be pulled from Wrestlepalooza. Determined to compete, Vaquer sought a second opinion and was fortunately cleared by a doctor on the morning of Raw, allowing her to travel at the last minute and be officially re-added to the premium live event just hours before it began.
On the September 22 episode of Raw, her first as champion, Stephanie Vaquer learned who she will be facing at the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event. It was announced that she will take on the WWE Women’s Champion from SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton, in a champion vs. champion match to determine the 2025 Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
