Andrade Returns To AEW On Dynamite

The sixth-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite delivered a massive shock to the wrestling world as Andrade made his surprise return to the company, attacking Kenny Omega and aligning himself with the Don Callis Family.

The bout saw Kenny Omega and the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido, score a victory over The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander. Following the match, The Young Bucks immediately attacked Omega. This prompted the recently reunited Jack Perry and Luchasaurus to rush to the ring to make the save. After clearing the ring of the Bucks, however, a confrontation went down between Omega and Jack Perry. As the two exchanged words and shoves, the arena lights suddenly went out.

When they came back on, Andrade was standing in the ring. He immediately leveled Kenny Omega with an attack, standing tall with Don Callis and his family members as the show went off the air, leaving the Florida crowd in stunned silence.

Andrade’s return to AEW comes just weeks after his departure from WWE in September. While the company never made a public statement, it was widely reported that Andrade had been quietly removed from programming weeks before his contract officially ended. According to a report from Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown, he was even escorted out of a WWE taping due to a backstage issue that was tied to an alleged unacknowledged suspension. His final match for WWE was at the SummerSlam premium live event, where he teamed with Rey Fenix in a six-pack TLC match for the Tag Team Championships.

This new alliance with the Don Callis Family immediately positions Andrade as a top-tier player in AEW. The faction, which also includes stars like Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher, has been a dominant force in the company for over a year.

With AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view just a few weeks away, it is highly likely that this shocking return will lead to a match on that card, as Andrade looks to make a statement in his new role.
