While speaking with TMZ Inside The Ring, Matt Riddle shared a chaotic story about Brock Lesnar from a past Elimination Chamber match, alleging that Lesnar went into business for himself by entering the match early and drastically altering its structure.
Riddle was a participant in the match and had a firsthand view of Lesnar’s impromptu decision. “I’ve worked with Brock a couple of times at Elimination Chamber in Saudi. He literally forgot what number he was supposed to come out, punched the plexiglass door… and then he just bum rushed,” Riddle said. “He cut the match by 15 minutes because he’s like, ‘Oh, so what?’”
According to Riddle, Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, attempted to cover for the unplanned spot afterward. “Paul Heyman pretended like it didn’t happen, or he was like, ‘Oh, that was my mistake.’ And it’s like, no, it wasn’t. It’s fucking him, dude. He just went into business for himself,” Riddle stated.
The match Riddle described took place at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in February 2022. Lesnar, who was not scheduled to enter the match at that point, was seen on camera breaking out of his pod after seeing champion Bobby Lashley being taken out of the match due to a storyline injury. Lesnar then quickly eliminated all remaining participants, including Riddle, to win the WWE Championship.
