All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor Champion Bandido is scheduled to compete in a match this coming week, following a shoulder injury he sustained at a recent event. The injury occurred during a match for the CMLL promotion on Friday, where Bandido reported that his shoulder “popped out” during a bout against wrestler Hechicero.
Despite the injury, Bandido is scheduled for a match on a special Tuesday edition of AEW’s program, Dynamite. During the Saturday broadcast of AEW Collision, it was announced that Bandido and his tag team partner, Brody King, will face the team of Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada.
The match is being promoted as a “Double Jeopardy” match, which means the winning team will earn a future championship opportunity. If Bandido and King win, they will receive a future match for Okada’s Unified World Championship. If Takeshita and Okada are victorious, they will earn a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, which is currently held by Bandido and King.
Confirmation that Bandido intends to wrestle despite his injury came from AEW President Tony Khan on social media. In a reply to a post from Bandido’s partner, Brody King, Khan provided an update. “I talked to him this morning! He said that he wants to power through it + wrestle on Tuesday!” Khan wrote.
The “Title Tuesday” edition of AEW Dynamite is scheduled for October 7, 2025. In addition to the “Double Jeopardy” match, the card features a face-to-face confrontation between ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Samoa Joe, a TNT Championship match between Kyle Fletcher and Kyle O’Reilly, a TBS Championship Open Challenge from Mercedes Moné, a Street Fight between The Hurt Syndicate and The Demand, and the in-ring return of Jurassic Express for the first time since 2022. Jon Moxley vs. Tomohiro Ishii and PAC vs. Orange Cassidy are also scheduled for the show.
