The October 6, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw featured a chaotic segment involving four of the brand’s top competitors. It began with CM Punk in the ring, stating his intention to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins. Punk reminded the audience that he had started the year by beating Rollins for that same title and planned to do it again. This claim is rooted in the events of early 2025, where Punk did capture the championship from Rollins before eventually losing it back to him, setting the stage for a potential rematch between the long-time rivals.
Punk’s promo was cut short by the arrival of LA Knight. Knight confronted Punk, declaring that unlike him, he has never had the chance to hold the World Heavyweight Championship. Knight then pointed out that while Punk talks about beating Rollins, Rollins has also pinned Punk on multiple occasions. He posed a question to Punk: “Do you know who Rollins never pinned?” before Punk could answer, Punk retorted, “I imagine it’s the same guy who’s never, not ever ever been World Heavyweight Champion, right?” The comeback clearly caught Knight off guard, leaving him silent for a moment.
After recovering, LA Knight shifted his focus to Jey Uso. He told Jey that his time in the main event scene had come and gone and suggested Jey lost big matches because he was trying too hard to be like his cousin, Roman Reigns. Knight said that while not being like Roman was a good thing, Jey should go back to focusing on the tag team division. He finished with an insult directed at The Usos’ well-documented past issues, saying Jey should first learn how to not be bad at being in a tag team.
The comment about the tag team drew out Jey’s brother, Jimmy Uso. As Knight continued to speak, Jey had heard enough and suddenly dropped him with a superkick. CM Punk, who had remained at ringside, then told Jey that Knight had a point and that maybe he should stick to being in a tag team. Punk added that while he liked Jey Uso, he had no time for “Little Roman,” a clear reference to Jey’s past association with The Bloodline.
The “Little Roman” comment set Jey off, and he went after Punk. Jimmy Uso quickly got between them, trying to de-escalate the situation. Jey attempted to throw a superkick at Punk over his brother’s shoulder, but Jimmy pulled him back. Punk, seeing the kick attempt, reacted by punching Jey in the face. This prompted Jimmy to immediately turn and hit Punk with a superkick.
"I love Jey Uso. I don't like little Roman."
