AEW Dynamite Preview: Title Matches, Hangman Page-Samoa Joe Confrontation

All Elite Wrestling is returning to its home base of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, for a special “Title Tuesday” edition of AEW Dynamite, and the card is loaded with championship matches. The show will feature a face-to-face confrontation between the AEW World Champion and his next challenger, two major singles titles on the line, a “Double Jeopardy Eliminator” match with both tag team and world title implications, and the in-ring return of the popular Jurassic Express. AEW is pulling out all the stops for their head-to-head showdown with WWE NXT and their return to the venue that was their home during the pandemic era.

The show will feature a segment between AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and his next challenger for the title, the ROH World Television Champion, Samoa Joe. Last week, Joe made it clear that Page has never been able to defeat him one-on-one, and the champion, after receiving help from Joe’s faction, The Opps, in recent weeks, has granted him a title shot at the upcoming WrestleDream pay-per-view.

Two of AEW’s other singles titles will also be on the line. In a “Battle of the Kyles,” TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher will defend his title against The Conglomeration’s Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly is looking for a measure of revenge for his stablemates after Hologram’s recent injury and Orange Cassidy being cheated out of a title shot last week. In the women’s division, the record-breaking TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone, will issue an open challenge for her championship just days before she is set to become the longest-reigning TBS Champion in history.

The card also features a “Double Jeopardy Eliminator” match, as the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido (Brody King & Bandido), will take on the Don Callis Family duo of AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita. If either member of Brodido scores a fall, they will earn a future shot at Okada’s Unified Championship, but if Okada and Takeshita win, they will earn a shot at the tag team titles. In other matches, The Hurt Syndicate will take on The Demand in a six-man tag team Street Fight, Jon Moxley will go one-on-one with Tomohiro Ishii, Pac will face Orange Cassidy, and Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) will have their first match as a reunited team.
