As a commentator for WWE NXT, Booker T has had a front-row seat for the brand’s ongoing crossover with TNA Wrestling. On his Hall of Fame podcast, the Hall of Famer shared his excitement for the storyline, stating that it has been beneficial for everyone involved.
“I’ve been so invested in the TNA NXT crossover that they’ve been doing. It’s been so good for both sides to see so many different guys get a come-up,” Booker T said. “Just like seeing Matt Cardona back in the building. And then seeing guys like Moose, this guy who I had talked about for quite some time, and I was just like, ‘Man, I wish this guy can get a shot.’ And now with this crossover.”
Booker T gave special credit to TNA President Carlos Silva for allowing his talent the opportunity to appear on a WWE platform, a move that benefits the wrestlers’ careers. “TNA President, Carlos Silva, he’s doing a hell of a job giving these guys some opportunity, more than anything, to go out there and live that ultimate dream and not holding these guys back,” he stated.
He related the situation to his own philosophy at his Reality of Wrestling promotion. “I appreciate seeing someone with talent and letting that person shine. I really, really appreciate that, because that’s what Reality of Wrestling is all about. If they’re good, we want to try to get them seen, and hopefully we get them to the next level.”
The TNA and NXT crossover angle began in September 2025 and ended at the TNA vs. NXT Showdown special on October 7. The card was headlined by several inter-promotional champion vs. champion matches, including The Hardy Boyz winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. Check out the results here.
