Major TNA Contracts Reportedly Expiring Soon

The future of  The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) is once again a topic of speculation, as a new report from Fightful Select has revealed that their current contracts with TNA Wrestling are set to expire next month. According to the report, The Hardys re-signed with TNA in November 2024 on one-year deals.

While sources within TNA have indicated that the company hopes to retain the iconic duo, their impending free agency will undoubtedly make them one of the most sought-after acts in all of wrestling.

The Hardy Boyz’ most recent run in TNA has been a major success, both for the team and the promotion. Since their return, they have experienced a career resurgence, capturing the TNA World Tag Team Championship, the NXT Tag Team Championship as part of the WWE crossover, and the HOG Tag Team Championship. The report notes that the deal has been “mutually beneficial” and that The Hardys have been a major draw for the company, often staying for hours after shows for in-demand meet and greets. Their current storyline has them in a “final match” feud with their rivals, Team 3D (The Dudley Boyz), a program that is set to culminate at TNA’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory.

The Fightful Select report also noted that “no less than a dozen” other TNA contracts are set to expire between now and the end of the year, making it a potentially transformative period for the company’s roster. The IInspiration and Cedric Alexander have also been reported to be in similar contract situations. However, the report states that TNA is working to renew those deals and that “many are expected to re-sign.”

The Hardy Boyz’ match at Bound For Glory against Team 3D is a “One Final Table” match for both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships.
