John Cena Did Something Special For AJ Styles At WWE Crown Jewel

In a moment of pure class and respect, John Cena reportedly wrote the special ring introduction for his opponent, AJ Styles, at the WWE Crown Jewel premium live event. Before their match, Cena was seen handing a note to ring announcer Alicia Taylor, who then read a unique and heartfelt introduction for “The Phenomenal One” that referenced his storied career in TNA and his time as the leader of the Bullet Club in NJPW.

According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, the gesture was a complete surprise to Styles. “Apparently John Cena wrote the ring intro for AJ Styles and AJ had no idea,” Alvarez posted to his subscribers on X.

Taylor’s introduction went as follows: “The definition of Total Nonstop Action. The Ace and Undisputed Boss of The Bullet Club. It is our honor as fans and my honor as an opponent to see if he can beat up John Cena one final time. He is the face that runs the place, the phenomenon AJ Styles!” The references to TNA and the “Bullet Club” were a nod to two of the most significant chapters of Styles’ pre-WWE career, and the line about it being an “honor as an opponent” was a direct message of respect from Cena himself.

The match at Crown Jewel was billed as the final encounter between the two legendary rivals, as Cena is in the midst of his retirement tour, which is scheduled to conclude in December. The two men have had a series of classic matches in the past, and this final bout was a fitting and emotional conclusion to their epic rivalry.
