The TNA X-Division Championship match between Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans at Bound For Glory ended in a no-contest. The match was stopped after the group known as Dark State entered the ring and attacked both competitors.
During the match, Leon Slater hit Je’Von Evans with a dropkick for a two-count. Later, Slater performed a sling-shot cutter that resulted in another two-count. The action moved to the ring apron, where Evans used a kick and then a rolling DDT on Slater. Evans followed that with an O.G. cutter on the apron. Both men made it back into the ring at the count of nine.
At another point, Slater attempted a springboard from the barricade, but Evans shoved him into the crowd. Evans then hit a running dive over the barricade onto Slater. Slater retaliated with a dive of his own over the barricade. Soon after, the bell rang as the official time limit for the match had expired.
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella came out and announced the match would continue for five more minutes. Slater then hit the Utopia on Evans, who rolled to the floor. Slater followed with a dive over the post onto Evans.
Back in the ring, Evans hit Slater with a Spanish Fly and attempted a pin. The lights in the arena went out. When they came back on, Dark State was in the ring.
The members of Dark State attacked both Slater and Evans. They gave each competitor a double-team powerbomb. The referee then officially stopped the match, resulting in a no-contest with no winner being declared.
