Paul Heyman’s track record of betrayal is long and legendary, but that isn’t stopping some of WWE’s top stars from wanting to align themselves with “The Wiseman.” In a series of recent interviews, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins), former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, and even the “Honorary Uce” himself, Sami Zayn, have all expressed an interest in working with him.
Despite his history of turning on his clients, including Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk, The Street Profits told the Kairouz Bros that they would be open to the idea. “Yes. Why not? Has he steered anyone wrong? Has he led people to the Promised Land? Multiple Times,” Montez Ford said. “You always see him in the main event. Isn’t that what we’re all here for, to be main eventers?” Angelo Dawkins added, “You’ve just got to capitalize.”
Damian Priest, who has had his own share of faction warfare as a member of The Judgment Day, was even more direct in his desire to work with Heyman. “Yes, he has his ways about him, but I’m a Paul Heyman guy. I have no problem with him advocating for me,” he stated. “That’s part of this business (backstabbing), everybody does that. I’ve been guilty of that too. You can’t deny what he can do for your career.”
Perhaps most surprisingly, former “Honorary Uce” Sami Zayn, who was betrayed by The Bloodline, refused to rule out a future alliance with Heyman. “One day you go ‘I’ll never in a million years…’ And then one day you find yourself there again. I’m not ruling it out, absolutely not,” Zayn explained. “Yeah, for sure, he backstabs everyone. I think all his relationships are very transactional.”
Currently, Paul Heyman is serving as the “Oracle” for the dominant Raw faction, The Vision, a group that includes World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.
