WWE World Champion Seth Rollins Pulled From Upcoming Japan Shows

Seth Rollins will not be appearing at WWE’s live events in Japan on October 17 and 18 due to an injury. The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been removed from the advertised lineup for the shows.

Originally, Rollins had two matches scheduled for the tour. On October 17, he was booked to defend his title against CM Punk. The following night, on October 18, he was scheduled to team with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed against Shinsuke Nakamura, CM Punk, and Jey Uso.

With Rollins no longer on the tour, WWE has changed the matches for both events. CM Punk is now scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio on October 17. For the October 18 show, CM Punk will team with Shinsuke Nakamura to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Rollins sustained the injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at the WWE Crown Jewel event. He was seen favoring his left arm after a coast-to-coast headbutt. After the event, Rollins was seen in Australia with his arm in a sling.

The injury comes at a key time in his on-screen storyline. On the most recent episode of WWE Raw, Rollins was attacked by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Later that night, CM Punk won a match to become the next challenger for Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Title. The belief is that the attack by Breakker and Reed is a cover reason to expain Rollins’ absence from WWE TV.
