WWE has announced that the next group of signees for its “WWE ID” program will be revealed soon on WWE EVOLVE. The initiative serves as a developmental pathway for independent wrestlers, with prospects frequently appearing on EVOLVE events and some eventually competing on NXT. The program aims to identify and cultivate the next generation of WWE Superstars by providing them with elite-level resources and a direct line to the company’s developmental system.
The WWE ID program was created to identify and support top independent wrestling prospects from around the globe. Spearheaded by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the initiative collaborates with designated independent wrestling schools and promotions to provide talent with enhanced training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to a potential WWE career.
WWE has released several talents from its developmental system, including Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner, Lance Anoaʻi of the Anoaʻi wrestling family, and prospects Darko Knox, Jamar Hampton, and Zara Zhaker. The wrestlers announced their departures from the company on their respective social media accounts.
Zara Zhaker, one of the first prospects to be featured in the WWE ID program, stated that her contract had expired and she would be “taking a step back from wrestling.” The WWE ID initiative was established to create a clear pathway for independent wrestlers to join the WWE system.
Jamar Hampton and Darko Knox, who both appeared on WWE Evolve, also confirmed their departures. Zayda Steele decided not to renew her WWE ID contract.
