AEW WrestleDream Results: Kris Statlander Cuts Mercedes Mone’s Celebration Short

TBS Champion Mercedes Mone vs. “any champion in the world,” which was took place at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. Interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion Mina Shirakawa came out for the match.

Mone kept going for quick pin attempts early to get this one over with. Mone beat her down for the majority of the match. Mone went for a frog splash, but Mina rolled through and hit a snap suplex. Mina fired back with right hands before Mone dropped her with a drop kick. Mina with one of her own. Mina target the right knee of Mone before hitting a spring board dive for 2. Mina with a sling blade for 2. Mone with the back stabber then went for money maker, but Mina blocked. Mina with a driver for 2 before locking in the figure four. Mone with a code breaker on the apron then the running knee strike for 2. Mina with a round hour back fist before locking in a submission hold. Mone got out and she went for a roll up, but the referee saw she was cheating. Mone backed the referee in the corner and poked Mina in the eyes. Mone with the bank statement, but Mina rolled through and went for a figure four, but Mone rolled her up for 2. Mone with money maker for the near fall as Mina grabbed the rope. Moments later, Mone rolled up Mina and used the bottom rope to do so. 

Winner: Mone 

Post-match, Kris Statlander ran out to the ring for a staredown with Mone before blocking a right hand and hitting her finisher.
