Seth Rollins stripped of World Heavyweight Championship:

Adam Pearce met Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman in the ring. Breakker was holding the World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder. Pearce told them because of what they did to Seth Rollins last week, he had to undergo major surgery and he had to strip him of the World Championship. There will be a Battle Royal tonight with the winner facing CM Punk at Saturday Night Main Event. 

Pearce told Breakker to hand over the championship. Breakker told Pearce to say, “Please.” Pearce obliged. Breakker handed it to Heyman who handed it to Pearce and Pearce left the ring.

Heyman said he said he pulled the moves he did against Punk at WrestleMania because he knew Breakker is the future of this company and Reed is better than Roman Reigns. Breakker and Reed had the intensity to pull the trigger on Rollins and become WrestleMania main-eventers. 

Backstage:

The Judgment Day were irritated with Dominik Mysterio for talking to Adam Pearce, resulting in them defending the tag team titles tonight.

World Tag Team Championship Match: Finn Balor & JD McDonagh (Champions) vs AJ Styles & Dragon Lee

Balor hit the Coup de Grace on Styles but Lee broke up the pin attempt. Lee threw McDonagh over the top rope. Balor tried to put the Styles Clash on Styles but he couldn’t get it on him. Styles then hit the Styles Clash on Balor and pinned him to win the titles.

Winners and new World Tag Team Champions: AJ Styles and Dragon Lee

Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (Champion) vs Rusev

Dominik avoided the Accolade and slid out of the ring. He grabbed his belts but was shocked when he saw Penta show up. Rusev threw Dominik over the barricade. He grabbed Dominik and threw him back in the ring. Rusev turned around and hit Penta. Rusev got back in the ring. Dominik tripped Rusev and went for the 619 but Rusev blocked it by grabbing his legs. Rusev pulled the hammer out of Dominik’s boot. When he went to hit Dominik with it, the referee stopped him. When the referee turned around to get rid of the hammer, Dominik hit Rusev with a low blow. Dominik then hit the 619 and the frog splash to pin him and retain his championship.

After the match, Penta hit Rusev with a Springboard Tornado DDT

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Dominik Mysterio

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (Champion) vs Maxxine Dupri

Dupri avoided the armlock and caught Becky in an ankle lock. Dupri came off the top rope onto Becky with a cross-body for a near fall. Becky rolled out of the ring, grabbed her belt, and tried to leave. Dupri grabbed her and brought her back to the ring. Becky then hit her with the belt and got disqualified to retain her championship. After the match, Becky hit her with a knee to the face and gave her a Uranage.

Winner by disqualification: Maxxine Dupri

They showed footage of Rhea Ripley with cotton in her nose as she had it broken in Japan.

In a pre-taped interview, Asuka gloated over the fact that they injured IYO SKY, and now Rhea Ripley. Kairi Sane said IYO tore the family apart and now she must pay. Asuka said she finally saw the ruthlessness in Sane she’s been waiting to see and now they are looking to put gold around their waists.

Backstage:

Adam Pearce told Paul Heyman that he took Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed out of tonight’s Battle Royal. He told Heyman that he would need to say “please put them back in.” Heyman did so and Pearce still said no and slammed the door.

Becky Lynch showed up and got in Heyman’s face. Heyman told her I know how you feel, but I had no choice. Breakker and Reed conspired against Rollins because of his injured shoulder. He got down on his hands in knees between them, putting himself in physical jeopardy until that jeopardy became a reality. At that point, he had no choice. He told Becky she’s the number one breadwinner in her house now. The number one rule in feeding our children is to survive the day and that’s what he did last week, and unfortunately, her husband did not. There is a Vision that includes Becky Lynch. She can have a hot husband at home and an adorable oracle on the road.

Becky grabbed him by the tie and said this doesn’t work with her. She never liked him and never trusted him, and neither did Seth. She said Seth used Heyman. He knew you were going to turn on him and was surprised it didn’t happen earlier. Seth is not going to hurt him when he comes back because he’s nothing to him and Paul is nothing without him, but he is going to kill everybody Paul surrounds himself with. He won’t kill Paul, but Paul will wish that he had.

WWE Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (Champion) vs Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez)

Vaquer pushed Roxanne over the top rope onto Raquel. Vaquer dove over the top rope onto both of them. Vaquer threw Roxanne back in the ring and gave her the Angel’s Wings to pin her and retain her championship.

After the match, Raquel attacked Vaquer from behind until Nikki Bella came in for the save. She clotheslined Roxanne but got clotheslined by Raquel. Vaquer slipped when she came off the top rope into the ring and looked like she may have injured herself. Vaquer gave Raquel a DDT. Vaquer and Nikki hugged to end the segment.

Backstage:

  • Bayley told Lyra Valkyria she has a surprise for her next week.
  • Bron Breakker told Paul Heyman that he and Reed need an explanation why they aren’t going to be in the Battle Royal tonight. Heyman said he made stars out of Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns because they listened to him. 
  • Nikki Bella told Stephanie Vaquer she needs to be cautious as champion as everybody will be looking to take her out. Vaquer said she owes her one and will be watching her back from now on as well.

#1 Contender’s Battle Royal, winner to face CM Punk for the World Championship at Saturday Night Main Event

Participants included Rusev, Grayson Waller, Kofi Kingston, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, Akira Tozawa, Otis, El Grande Americano, Penta, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, LA Knight, AJ Styles, Dragon Lee, Sheamus, Ivar

CM Punk joined the commentary team for this match

Rusev eliminated Otis and Tozawa. McDonagh and Balor eliminated Lee. Dominik eliminated Rusev and Penta. We came back from the commercial break. Sheamus eliminated Ivar. The Usos eliminated Americano. Sheamus eliminated McDonagh and Balor. Kingston eliminated Sheamus. Another commercial break. Styles eliminated Kingston. Jimmy eliminated Styles. As Knight and Jimmy were fighting, Jey pushed both of them over the top rope. Jey tossed Dominik over the top rope to win the Battle Royal. Story of the match was Jimmy continually saving Jey from being eliminated but Jey tossed Jimmy out.

After the match, CM Punk got in the ring and had a staredown with Jey to end the show.

Winner: Jey Uso
