Khan responded with high praise for the former champion, emphasizing his gratitude for Jericho’s contributions. “I love Chris Jericho,” Khan stated. “He’s a huge part of AEW. He’s been here since the beginning”.
When pressed for what might be next for Jericho, Khan gave a vague timeline but reiterated Jericho’s importance to the company.
“I think we’ll see what happens here in the coming months,” Khan said. “But Chris is always a welcome big part of AEW we’d always want to have here”.
Khan continued, “So I absolutely am so grateful to Chris Jericho for everything he’s done”.
Jericho’s Legacy in AEW
Khan pointed to Jericho’s historical significance as the company’s first-ever world champion as a reason he remains a valued figure.
“You mentioned that AEW book, looking at the history. Well, Chris Jericho is a huge part of that history. The very first AEW World Champion,” Khan explained. “And somebody who’s now a nine-time World Champion and has won several of those championships here with us.”
He concluded his thoughts by reiterating his appreciation. “So I am very, very grateful to Chris and Chris is always a very welcome huge part of AEW”.
