Braun Strowman recently spoke openly about his 2025 departure from WWE and his belief that the company missed a significant opportunity by not allowing him to showcase his true personality. Strowman detailed how he is now embracing his authentic self, Adam Scherr, as the host of his new television show, “Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman.”
Appearing on TMZ Inside The Ring, Strowman addressed the creative constraints of his persona, arguing that his greatest asset was his real-life charisma, which he believes was largely suppressed. He noted that the new show finally gives him the platform he always wanted within the larger entertainment sphere.
WWE Career
“This is the first time in my life I’ve had a major platform where I get to be Adam Scherr, the man behind the monster, and that’s what’s so special to me,” Strowman stated. “If WWE would have ever just let me be me, I would have ruled the world”.
Strowman acknowledged that he did the best he could with the character he was given, but noted that he was ready for evolution. “I did my best I could with what they gave me every week, I like to think I changed what it meant to be a big man in the wrestling business, and now here I am with another opportunity in life to go out here and prove naysayers wrong,” he said.
The Monster’s Appetite and Mindset
The former Universal Champion, who began his career in strongman competitions and weighs 350 pounds, joked that his appetite easily outmatches that of even the biggest names in Hollywood. He compared his legendary eating habits to the famed cheat meals of The Rock. “I make The Rock’s cheat meals look like he’s going to freaking buy a salad”.
Strowman also shared a positive perspective on the timing of his career shift, noting that he needed a break from the demanding schedule. “I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t watched an ounce of WWE since I left. No idea what’s going on. My life has been so busy, and I honestly needed a little bit of a break,” he confessed. While acknowledging that “Things didn’t end how I wanted it to with the company, but that’s business,” he is thankful for the platform.
“WWE gave me an opportunity at life that I could have never imagined having. I was homeless 12 years ago. I have a house in Wisconsin. I have a house in Florida. I’m 900 feet in the air in the biggest one I’ve ever seen in New York City. Talking to you guys about my own television network. Life’s good, baby”. The show is set to premiere this Friday at 10 o’clock Eastern Standard Time on the USA Network, following Friday Night SmackDown.
