Jey Uso – CM Punk Face-to Face

Fans “yeeted” with Jey as he came to the ring.  When they were done, they chanted, “CM Punk”. Jey said he has Roman in his ear, he has Jimmy in his ear, but right now, he doesn’t give a damn what they think about him. It’s just him that’s going to be the new World Heavyweight Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

CM Punk came to the ring. He said he’s happy for Jey because he’s listening to himself instead of Roman and Jimmy. He is friends with Jey so it’s hard to face him this weekend. He told Jey he has what it takes, but how far is he willing to go. Punk said he also needs to be champion like he needs air in his lungs. 

Jey said as soon as he will do something for himself, Punk will paint him out to be the bad guy. He said, “Screw you Punk as on Saturday, I’m going to show you who’s the best in the world.”

Backstage:

Dominik Mysterio told The Judgment Day that Adam Pearce has a vendetta against him because Rusev and Penta have a number one contender’s match for his title. Raquel Rodriguez said if he wasn’t such a habitual cheater, maybe that wouldn’t have happened. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh said they are busy tonight trying to get the tag team titles back that he cost them, so Dominik is on his own tonight. After JD, Finn, and Dominik left, Roxanne told Raquel that he should help him. Raquel said no, let them focus on theirs and we will focus on ours.

#1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Rusev vs Penta

Penta blocked the Accolade and gave Rusev the Penta Driver for a near fall. As they exchanged punches on their knees, all three Americanos hit the ring and attacked Rusev and Penta. As the Americanos celebrated in the ring, Rusev then attacked Rayo and Bravo sending them out of the ring. As Penta set up El Grande, Rayo and Bravo pulled him out of the ring.

LA Knight said he is coming after the winner of the Saturday Night Main Event match between Jey Uso – CM Punk match

Backstage:

Bron Breakker told Paul Heyman that he still feels he should have been in the Battle Royal last week. Heyman said that would have irritated Adam Pearce further, they all could have been suspended without pay, and he could have made it his life mission to keep him away from the World Heavyweight Title. Now you can simply beat the winner of the Jey Uso – CM Punk match. Breakker said he wants a match tonight. Heyman said I already got you a match tonight with LA Knight.

Backstage:

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh asked Adam Pearce for their tag team title rematch tonight. Pearce said they illegally eliminated Sheamus from the Battle Royal last week, so tonight, one of you is going to go one-on-one with him. JD said he will fight Sheamus tonight.

Nikki Bella vs Roxanne Perez (w/Raquel Rodriguez)

Roxanne blocked the Rack Attack. Nikki hit Roxanne with the Spinebuster. Raquell got on the ring apron but Nikki gave her a forearm sending her to the mat. Roxanne rolled up Nikki but the referee saw Roxannne’s foot on the ropes. As Roxanne argued with the referee, Nikki rolled up Roxanne for a two-count. Roxanne again blocked the Rack Attack, hit her with the Pop Rocks, and pinned her to win the match.

After the match, Raquel nailed Nikki with a clothesline. Raquel and Roxanne left the ring when Stepanie Vaquer came in to check on Nikki. Raquele got back in the ring and had a staredown with Stephanie and Nikki before leaving the ring.

Winner: Roxanne Perez

They showed a clip of Bailey on X challenging Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to face her and Lyra Valkyria on Raw.

Backstage:

Asuka told Lyra Valkyria that it should be the Kabuki Warriors facing Flair and Bliss. Lyra said she didn’t have anything to do with it. Asuka yelled at her before leaving. Bayley entered. Lyra told her she got us into a mess. Bayley said we have a tag team title match. Lyra said she’s never faced either one and didn’t seem confident she could win, but after thinking about it, she said she’s ready.

Backstage:

Jimmy Uso saw Jey Uso and confronted him about him saying he doesn’t care what Jimmy thinks about him. Jimmy reminded him that he saved him twice and the Battle Royal last week but yet Jey threw him out. Jimmy said the plan was to stick together until they were the only two left, then it would be every man for himself, but Jey only thinks about himself. Jimmy said Jey did that because if it came down to just them, and if Jey really did believe in himself, Jey wouldn’t be so scared to find out.

Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman & Bron Breakker) vs LA Knight

They went for a move off the turnbuckles that was botched sending Breakker to the mat. Breakker was holding the back of his neck and possibly injured. Knight gave Breakker a superplex off the top rope for a near fall. With Knight in the corner, Breakker charged at him. Knight moved out of the way, Breakker crashed into the ring post, and fell out of the ring. Reed got on the ring apron. Knight clotheslined Reed off the ring apron. Knight slammed Breakker’s head on the announce table multiple times. They got back in the ring. Knight blocked a slam and gave him a reverse DDT. Knight came off the top rope but Breakker moved out of the way, hit him with a spear, and pinned him. 

Winner: Bron Breakker

Backstage:

Dominik was with the Americanos. Adam Pearce entered and the Americanos left. Dominik told Pearce that it’s crazy that the Americanos came up with the idea all on their own to attack Penta and Rusev because now Penta and Rusev are going to go after them. Pearce said Penta and Rusev are not going after them. He said they are going after Dominik in a Triple Threat Match at Saturday Night Main Event for the Intercontinental Championship.

Sheamus vs JD McDonagh (w/ Finn Balor)

McDonagh and Sheamus fought outside the ring. Sheamus slammed McDonagh’s head on the announce table and threw him against the barricade. He then threw McDonagh back in the ring. As he climbed to the top turnbuckle, Balor hit him with a shillelagh. McDonagh then hit Sheamus with a Spanish Fly off the top turnbuckle and pinned him.

Winner: JD McDonagh

Backstage:

Adam Pearce told Maxxine Dupri she beat Becky Lynch twice, the third time could be the charm, so let’s make this official. Maxxine said she knows these opportunities are few and far between, but she doesn’t want it to go to waste. Maxxine said she thinks she needs to call a friend and confirm she’s ready for this match, and when she’s ready, she will take the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Pearce said to call him when she’s ready and he will make it official.

Backstage:

The Kabuki Warriors interrupted Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss and said they should be in the tag team title match.

Backstage:

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee told Adam Pearce they are looking for challengers for their tag team titles. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh interrupted and told Pearce they wanted their rematch. Styles and Lee said they will face them next week on Raw.

  • World Tag Team Championship: AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (Champions) vs Finn Balor & JD McDonagh

WWE Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss (Champions) vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

Bayley charged at Charlotte and got hit with a boot to the face. Flair got Bayley in the Figure-8. Lyra held Bayley’s hands from tapping. Bliss came off the top rope with a Twisted Bliss on Bayley and Lyra. Lyra with Charlotte pinning Bayley after Charlotte and Bliss hit Lyra and Bayley with a Natural Selection to retain the championship.

Winners and still WWE Women’s World Tag Team Champions: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

After the match,The Kabuki Warriors ran into the ring and attacked Charlotte and Bliss. Asuka held Flair so Kairi Sane could hit her with the Insane Elbow. The Warriors went after Lyra, but Bayley got back in the ring to protect her, and the Warriors backed off.
