Music icon Cyndi Lauper has officially announced her first-ever Las Vegas residency. The show, titled “Cyndi Lauper: Live In Las Vegas,” is scheduled for a limited engagement next spring at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. This announcement comes as Lauper is also being celebrated as part of the 2025 induction class for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The residency is currently scheduled for five dates: April 24, 25, 29, and May 1 & 2, 2026. In a statement accompanying the announcement, Lauper shared her excitement for the new production. “I am excited to announce my first-ever Las Vegas residency,” Lauper stated. “Vegas will become ‘CynCity’ next spring, when I bring my Girls Just Wanna Have Fun show to town for this special run, an opportunity for fans who missed my Farewell Tour to celebrate one last time”.
The show is being created and designed in partnership with Brian Burke Creative. Tickets for the residency recently went on sale at Ticketmaster.com.
The timing of the residency is particularly notable for professional wrestling fans. The run begins just days after WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Lauper’s first show on April 24 provides a unique opportunity for fans traveling to “Sin City” for WWE’s biggest event of the year to extend their stay and see the music legend perform.
This scheduling convenience, combined with her high-profile Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, will likely fuel speculation among wrestling fans that 2026 could be the year Lauper is finally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony traditionally takes place during WrestleMania weekend, which would make her subsequent residency in the same city a perfectly timed celebration.
Lauper’s contributions to professional wrestling are historic and pivotal. She was the central figure in the WWF’s “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection” in the mid-1980s, an alliance that was instrumental in bringing the promotion into the mainstream pop culture spotlight via MTV.
Her involvement included a high-profile feud with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano, which stemmed from Albano appearing as her father in the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” music video. This storyline culminated at the inaugural WrestleMania in 1985, where Lauper managed Wendi Richter in her WWF Women’s Championship victory over Leilani Kai, solidifying her role as a cornerstone of the event’s success.
