John Cena Hypes His Final Boston Appearance For WWE Raw

John Cena Teases ‘Surprises’ for His Final Opponent Tournament

John Cena has taken to X to express his excitement for this coming Monday Night Raw in his hometown of Boston, teasing that fans could be in for some suprises.

The 17-time world champion is scheduled to appear live at the event, which will be his final appearance in Boston as part of his ongoing retirement tour.

“Seeing all the excitement around Monday Night #WWERaw in Boston,” Cena wrote. “Can’t wait to see the matchups and surprises for the Last Time is Now tournament. This is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone involved.”

The ‘Last Time is Now’ Tournament

The event Cena referred to is a 16-man, single-elimination tournament that will begin on the Boston episode of Raw. The winner of this multi-week tournament will earn the right to be John Cena’s final opponent in his retirement match at the Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

The tournament is set to feature competitors from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. The “surprises” Cena teased align with the initial tournament announcement, which hinted that the bracket could even include “maybe even some faces who don’t even work here.”

The first two first-round matches for the tournament have been announced for this Monday’s Raw:

  • Damian Priest vs. Rusev
  • Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
