David Otunga shared his thoughts on Logan Paul’s new role in The Vision, praising the performer but questioning his new alliance with Paul Heyman.
Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Otunga said Paul has proven his worth in WWE. “He’s earning everybody’s respect, and, you know, like the fact that he takes it seriously, like being one of the boys. I like that… I do like how serious Logan is taking it, and I think he’s a great performer. He’s good for this business, like, he’s very charismatic”.
A “Strange” Pairing
However, Otunga was confused by the decision to pair the charismatic Paul with WWE’s most famous manager, Paul Heyman.
“That’s why it’s kind of strange to hear him be a Paul Heyman guy, because usually you put Paul Heyman with somebody who maybe isn’t quite as charismatic, or who’s not good on the mic. Yeah, Logan, Paul is great on the mic. Like, he doesn’t need that,” Otunga said.
He compared the new alliance to a basketball team with conflicting players. “It’s a really good point. It’s like they kind of bump heads, because almost like they’d have to fight over the mic. It’s like a basketball team where two guys want the ball, you know, they two point guards in there, yeah, oh yeah, yeah, fighting over it”.
