Following her WWE release, Priscilla Kelly (Gigi Dolin) is enjoying her freedom on the independent scene, but she has her eye on a potential new television home: All Elite Wrestling. Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Kelly explained that her main goal since returning to the indies has been to enjoy her work.
“I Want To Have Fun”
“My main goal right now is just having fun, and that’s still my goal. I still want to have fun, but I think going into coming out this year and going into 2026, I don’t know, I think I’d like, I’d really like, to maybe go to AEW”.
She explained why she hasn’t immediately signed with a new company, citing her experience in WWE. “I’ve also just been really busy, and I’ve also, I haven’t been in a rush to go back to a television program, because I just got out of four years of a very strict and kind of controlling television program. So I kind of just been in the mindset of, I’m not in a rush to go back to TV because I just want to have fun. I want to find myself again, and I want to enjoy my life again and not be owned by anybody”.
Why AEW?
Kelly noted that she worked with AEW before signing with WWE and feels there is “something left on the table”. She feels the promotion’s environment would be a better fit for her.
“I would like to see myself go back to a large platform where I can express myself. And I do think AEW is more of the type of place where you can express yourself a little bit more individually over there,” Kelly said. “And like I say, pros and cons, like that can be a blessing, or that can be someone’s downfall. And I think that’s, I think it’s cool that over there, it just seems like you can have a little bit more control on where, where that road can take you, because they allow a little bit more individuality, I will say”.
For now, she is happy with her current schedule. “I’m in a really good head space and, like, I don’t know, I think I’ve just been doing some really fun stuff… this is fun. Like, this is cool. Like, this is just what I’m talking about”.
