Deonna Purrazzo Reflects on “Stalled & Stale” Year, Vows to “Bloom” in 2026
Pro wrestling star Deonna Purrazzo recently took to X to share a deeply personal and reflective message about her difficult 2025, her reaction to her high ranking in the PWI, and her big plans for the future.
A Year of Self-Doubt
Purrazzo was candid about the professional struggles she faced over the past year. “This year tested me in ways I never expected,” she wrote.
The feeling of stagnation led her to question her own future in the industry. “At times, my career felt stalled & stale and I found myself wondering if there was still a place for me in all of this.”
The PWI Ranking
Despite her personal feelings of being “stalled,” Purrazzo was recognized by Pro Wrestling Illustrated with a high placement in their annual list. She explained why the ranking was so important to her.
“Being ranked so surprisingly high by @OfficialPWI means the world — not for validation, but because it proves that consistency matters,” Purrazzo stated. “Showing up, even when it’s hard, counts.”
A “Building Year”
Purrazzo shared a piece of wisdom that helped her frame her struggles in a more positive light. “Someone once told me, ‘Some years are for growing, and some are for building,'” she recalled.
With that perspective, she has categorized 2025 as a year of preparation rather than a setback. “This was a building year,” she declared.
“Next Year, I Bloom”
After a year of “building” and overcoming self-doubt, Purrazzo concluded her message with a clear and confident promise for what is to come.
“Next year, I bloom,” she wrote.
This year tested me in ways I never expected. At times, my career felt stalled & stale and I found myself wondering if there was still a place for me in all of this.
