Mercedes Mone’s Team Wins Historic First-Ever Women’s Blood & Guts
In a brutal and bloody affair, the team of Mercedes Mone, the Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, & Thekla), Megan Bayne, and Marina Shafir defeated the team of Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, and the “Timeless Love Bombs” (“Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) in the first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts match.
An Arsenal of Weapons
The violence started immediately as the first two entrants, Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale, entered with a kendo stick and a garbage can lid, respectively. Willow quickly threw Sky into the corner and she was bleeding heavily.
The subsequent entrants brought more plunder into the double cage:
- Julia Hart entered next.
- Harley Cameron followed with a chair.
- Thekla brought a strap pulled “out of her boot.”
- Jamie Hayter entered with a bag of thumbtacks.
- Megan Bayne was the next to join.
- Kris Statlander brought in a pool cue, and soon both she and Bayne were “busted open.”
- Mercedes Mone entered and “gave each of her teammates a title belt to use.”
- Mina Shirakawa brought a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire.
- Marina Shafir was the second-to-last entrant.
- “Timeless” Toni Storm was the final participant, entering “with a handful of pearls.”
Chaos in the Cage
The match featured several horrifying spots. Marina Shafir immediately pulled Statlander out of the cage and pulled out a bed of nails, then”kicked Statlander who landed on the nails.
Toni Storm “broke a champagne bottle” and wrapped her hand with tape with the broken glass from the bottle attached to it, which she used to bust Shafir open.
Later, Julia Hart and Thekla escaped the cage by sliding through the opening in the corner structure, where they “attacked the referee and took the key.” After they got back in, Mone’s team threw Hayter, Cameron, and Statlander out of the cage. Statlander recovered and gave Mone a Samoan Drop outside onto a table.
Hart then locked the cage from the inside, isolating Storm and Shirakawa from their team.
Toni Storm Surrenders
Inside the cage, Storm DDT’d Shafir into”the broken champagne glass. Shafir countered by throwing a mirror into Storm’s face. Mina Shirakawa was also busted open.
The finish came when Shafir caught Shirakawa in the armbar while Bayne hit her repeatedly with one of the belts. The Triangle of Terror (Hart, Blue, and Thekla) held Storm back, forcing her to watch the assault. Not wanting Shirakawa to get injured further, Toni Storm officially surrendered to end the match.
