Paul Walter Hauser: WWE Will ‘Become This Douchey, Uppity Thing’ Due To High Ticket Prices

Actor Paul Walter Hauser was a guest on Insight With Chris Van Vliet and shared a dire warning about the rising cost of WWE tickets.

Hauser On WWE’s Future Audience

When asked what will happen if WWE ticket prices keep rising, Hauser did not hold back, suggesting the company will alienate its core audience in favor of a wealthier demographic. “It’ll become this douchey, uppity thing that only a bunch of rich tech bros and investment bankers go see. Average people won’t be going to that.”

Hardcore Fans Being Priced Out

When Chris Van Vliet asked if this means the “hardcore fans” are being priced out, Hauser confirmed he believes it is already happening. “I think that’s factually happening. Yeah, not that everybody’s destitute, but the country, if you look at the trends, because I’m only going off trends, I’m not saying like I’ve arrived at this knowledge. It’s more me tracking and with AI and with job loss and us being on the verge of another recession, all the trends tell you that people have less and less disposable income, and it will be more necessity-based income. So the way the world’s going, people aren’t going to be able to afford it.”

Hauser, an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor, speaks not just as a celebrity fan but as an active participant in the industry. He is currently signed to MLW. He has also made appearances for PROGRESS, AEW and Ring of Honor, including wrestling QT Marshall in a “Fight Without Honor” at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor event.
