Former NXT Star Is ‘Not Closed Off’ To A WWE Return

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish is open to a return to WWE and already has a dream opponent in mind. Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Fish was asked if the door for a WWE return was fully closed.

Fish Open To WWE Return

“Are they closed off to it? Or am I closed off?” Fish replied. “I’m not. I can’t speak for them, you know, I’m not closed off to it. I enjoyed my time there. They are who they are, and at the end of the day, I’m still a pro wrestler. So yeah, you know.”

Dream Opponent

When asked who his dream opponent for a first match back would be, Fish initially noted his preferred choice is no longer with the company: “my dream opponent there? So now it would have been Samoa Joe, but he’s not there anymore.”

After a moment, he settled on a different top-tier talent. “Oh, my God, I would love to work with Finley,” Fish said, before landing on his final choice. “So as far as who’s there now I and I have had a match with him before, but how the fuck you gonna go wrong with AJ Styles… we had great chemistry in the match that we did have in Ring of Honor. So like, I can’t imagine, it’s the same way I felt work when I, when I wrestled Bryan for AEW. Years previous, we had wrestled for a company called Evolve, and had great chemistry. And with AEW, I was happy to see that we still had it. So with AJ, I would think it will be the same. That’s it. Dream opponent in WWE right now. AJ Styles”.

Fish’s former dream opponent, Samoa Joe, is scheduled to challenge “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at the Full Gear PPV.
