Former WWE star/ECW World Heavyweight Champion Justin Credible (Peter Polaco) shared an update regarding his health on November 13, 2025. Polaco posted a photograph on X of a “Certificate of Commencement” awarded to him by the Discovery Institute for Addictive Disorders. The caption accompanying the image read “11/12/25” followed by a praying hands emoji.
The certificate, dated November 12, 2025, states that it is awarded to “Peter Polaco” for the “successful completion of the program” at the New Jersey-based facility. The document is signed by Victor Ruiz, MA, LCADC, a Residential Counselor at the institute. The text on the certificate includes a specific inscription regarding the principles of the program. It reads: “Now you can begin to practice the principles you learned… To begin anew… To live life… Clean and Sober… One Day at a time”.
Employment Update
In addition to the completion of the program, Polaco is set to begin a new employment position outside of the professional wrestling industry. As stated on Francine’s podcast, Polaco will begin working at a Chili’s restaurant starting next month. This position marks a shift to a schedule outside of the wrestling business.
Wrestling Career Background
Polaco entered the professional wrestling industry in the early 1990s. After a stint in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as Aldo Montoya, he moved to Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). In ECW, he adopted the name Justin Credible. He was paired with Jason Knight and later formed a tag team with Lance Storm known as The Impact Players. The team captured the ECW World Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions.
Polaco eventually transitioned to singles competition within the promotion. He defeated Tommy Dreamer to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. He held the title for five months before losing it to Jerry Lynn. Following ECW’s closure in 2001, Polaco returned to the WWF. During this tenure, he formed the X-Factor faction with X-Pac and Albert. He is an eight-time Hardcore Champion in WWE.
Addiction History and Treatment
Polaco has spoken publicly about substance abuse issues throughout his career. He has participated in rehabilitation programs in the past, including treatment sponsored by WWE. The Discovery Institute for Addictive Disorders, the issuer of the recent certificate, is located in Marlboro, New Jersey. The facility provides various services, including detoxification and residential rehabilitation. The “Certificate of Commencement” indicates the conclusion of a specific program at the center.
