On The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T offered high praise for several former AEW stars who are currently finding success in WWE, specifically highlighting Ethan Page and NXT Champion Ricky Saints.
‘He’s The Real Deal’
Booker T gave praise for Ethan Page. “I said it was a great pickup. I said Ethan Page was one of the best pickups NXT could have gotten… And me, personally, I did not know how good Ethan Page really was, but this guy, he’s the real deal. He can perform at a very, very high level. Very, very believable. His stick is very well. He literally checks off just about, no, he checks off every box Ethan Page does and [so] did Ricky Saints.”
The Rock Comparison
Regarding Ricky Saints, Booker T recalled comparisons made during his previous run. “And Ricky Saints is a guy who, you know, was over there, and nothing was really done with him… But this is a guy, because people were actually at that point in time, they were comparing him to The Rock. You remember that? … Well, The Rock-like charisma, you know? I mean, if you’re a guy that’s in this business, you want that, right?”
He noted that Saints has proven himself since arriving in NXT. “Coming to NXT, this guy has proved to me he’s a real worker, he’s a real performer, and he knows what the business is truly all about. So a guy like that, man, I could use him on my team on a regular basis.”
