Joe Hendry Has Officially Signed With WWE
One of TNA’s most popular stars, Joe Hendry, has officially signed a contract with WWE. The news was broken by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, who confirmed the signing on X.
In his post, Sapp stated, “Joe Hendry has officially signed with WWE, @FightfulSelect has confirmed.”
Sapp added that more details on the signing, including “how, who pushed for it, what this means for his TNA future in the immediate and more,” are available on the Fightful Select subscription service. This signing marks the culmination of a months-long transition for the Scottish superstar.
Hendry’s Role in the TNA/WWE Partnership
The signing formalizes Hendry’s move, though he has already been a prominent figure on WWE programming throughout 2025. Thanks to a working partnership between WWE and TNA, Hendry has made several high-profile appearances for the company while still under a TNA contract.
This run included a surprise entry in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match and a match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. In recent months, Hendry has become a regular character on the NXT brand, where he is currently advertised for upcoming shows.
A Main Event Star in TNA
Hendry’s move to WWE comes after a career-defining run in TNA, where he established himself as one of the promotion’s top acts. His popularity skyrocketed through his “I Believe in Joe Hendry” catchphrase and his series of viral, custom-made music videos that often mocked his opponents.
Reports as early as September 2025 indicated that Hendry was in the process of being “phased out” of TNA storylines in anticipation of a full-time jump to WWE, which was expected to be finalized by the beginning of 2026.
