WWE is currently involved in an ongoing shareholder lawsuit concerning the promotion’s merger with UFC. In the suit, former WWE board members, including Vince McMahon, are accused of breaching fiduciary duties.
This was allegedly done by approving the merger with UFC, thereby keeping McMahon involved in the company following the emergence of sexual misconduct allegations and an ongoing lawsuit involving former WWE employee Janel Grant, going against shareholder wishes.
Wrestlenomics revealed, per court filings, that current WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is scheduled to be deposed. This would mean that Levesque may potentially be facing several questions regarding how WWE’s deal with Endeavor came together, Vince McMahon’s role, and more.
In addition to this, phone activity regarding the current TKO COO, Mark Shapiro, has been subpoenaed. It is stated that Triple H is set to undergo deposition this Tuesday at 11 a.m. There is no guarantee that anything regarding Triple H being deposed will become public record.
When it comes to McMahon’s role in WWE’s merger, the former Chairman denied the allegations that had been sent his way.
